Merlin, sage from another world, was a seer, magician, wise councillor and friend to three kings. But for all his wisdom was bewitched by the Lady of the Lake who turned his love to her own ends. She sapped his power and plundered his store of secret knowledge.
He enabled Arthur’s ascencion to the throne by manipulating the Sword in the Stone and acted as his counsel in his early reign.
