I agree with Sarah, I like the second one. I like the idea of this soft/tender woman is like a rock or in this case bricks on the inside. I did like the original when it was the only one, but now it looks like an effect for the sake of it, while one has an underlying meaning to it.
Sarah, I prefer the second one with less bricks however, I think it’s a little soft for my liking but that might be the look you were after. Really cool imagination though. Was it shot with natural light from a window or something?
Definitely the second Sarah! Every good household has a woman at it’s core and you’re revealing how strong women can be. Now why didn’t I think of that :-p
I prefer the one with less bricks, b/c for me it gives me a positive spin with strength, feminine/masculine, sexy…fantastic idea, love the way you put it together…makes you stop, look, think….
The second one also. However it does look a little scarred – as it this was a scar. I think that removing the bit that looks like a bullet hole would help. Wonderful image Sarah and I love the concept.

Very cleverly done, I like this one – It has more of a sudden impact and is more striking IMHO.
I have to say that I loved the first one when I saw it so it is my preference but this one also is great because it has more meaning to it. I don’t agree with the title though, because to me it looks like you are peeling away the hard outer brick wall to reveal the soft tender woman inside. It just looks like the brick wall is peeling off from the outside of the skin to me. Just my 2 cents. It’s a very creative idea and well executed Sarah.

this is brilliant Sarah,,,I love the second one,,,, both are excellent though… well done
Zigga
Brilliant concept. Both are excellent but I’d say the second one. Really lovely work!!!
i like them both very much – but i like the one with more bricks because it subverts the idea of the “naked woman” as object…. she is stripped back, but she is strong… and is scary on the inside… and she has beautiful strong arms… i kind of wish i could see her face – i imagine it defiant and raw. but i’m just a writer not an artist… so it’s just my comments as a viewer… if that makes sense?
great exploration though!! i love both images. maybe they could be displayed side by side??
I prefer this one, although the bricks appear to be peeling away, not your model’s skin. The strength of bricks and mortar. This is a very powerfull statement.

This is WAY TO WICKED COOL!!!!!!
Sarah Moore
wow that was quick ta!!
Sara Lamond
Hmmm, I find them both very different … hard to choose one – but if I have to – the second one (more skin, less brick)
Craig Hender
I definately prefer the first Sarah. This is very good too though but a little soft i think. I like the harshness, and brittlness of the first.

Sarah Moore
I guess I was going for the contrast between soft/senusal woman and the strength that women have inside!!
It was shot with natural light from a window (the only lighting I have!!)
Will Barton
Definitely the second Sarah! Every good household has a woman at it’s core and you’re revealing how strong women can be. Now why didn’t I think of that :-p
Sara Lamond
With Bill on the softness – a little more definition on your side might be nice?
But to explain my comment about them being very different…
The one with more brick to me is dark, a little sinister, slightly scary. (in a good way!)
The one with more skin is hopeful, more about discovery.
So I guess it’s all about what you’re after – and what you’re revealing :)
Sarah Moore
Thanks Will I actually got the idea from your version!
Sarah Moore
Hey Sara – I like both for different reasons too…I like the tattoo effect on the first one, and the dark feel to it – I like scary!!
I agree re the softness – it is a little too soft around the edges.
Michael Douglass
I think I like this one best as well, nice work.
Jason Moses
I like this one a lot more, Sarah. Nice body, too.

Well there you go, glad I could be of service!

I’m in the prefer this to the original camp. The texture of brick apparently folding into skin is brilliant
Sarah Moore
I have reworked the side so its not as soft.

The combination of the title and the image works better for the second one Sarah. Both are well done though.

Nice work Sarah. Think I prefer the original as it the texture is more overwhelming. This does give more contrast though. Very cool.

This one!!
1. It shows a lot more of you.
2. It’s not over the top, it perfect for the effect your creating, while the other is a little confused.
JimFilmer
excellent concept and composition

Beautifully conceived piece of artwork… very powerful. Very beautiful.
