Final Resting Place

The final image in my Mists of Avalon series...I have taken some artistic licence and imagination to create the final resting place for the Holy Grail. If you look closely you will see that the dragon is guarding the long sought after chalice known as the Holy Grail – a Knight’s ultimate quest. Dragons are known for hoarding their treasure and what better treasure to guard than the dragon’s nemesis – the Knight!!

Where do I start – having heard all about this image, now finally seeing it. Firstly, thank you for honouring me by selecting one of my pictures for this series! Dare I say “leaving the best ‘till last?” Secondly, your imagination and creativity have shone throughout this series. Another fantastic image….makes a nice sequelae to the image of Arthur admiring the Grail. The lighting in these shots has been fantastic and has made them all the more magical.

I couldn’t help myself and wrote another piece about this image…it kind of follows on from Arthur and the Holy Grail as does the image that inspired it.

I am absolutely loving these images.
At least I am hoping its an image and not real.
But if it is real I am coming over cause you have to take me to see these dragons.

LOL – I read the book and saw the movie, and no I don’t think I do agree with his version of events. I prefer my magical version much better!
