The fragility and beauty of a lie
The underlying principle I use when I paint realistic portraits is they can’t be beautifull women: no smooth faces and straight noses and non existant chins and tiny nostrills. Instead, I struggle with an exaggerated face untill its beauty is not something only I can see- it’s now widely available to anyone, the stigma of it’s noncomformity erased.
That’s the motivation anyway. The success is not guaranteed
