More scraper sites harvesting images by Joe  Beasley IPA

Only one in weddingshut…none in all old pictures, but lots by other people from redbubble in both…I saw Frannie’s work and KJGordon at first glance….funny they both seem to be the same site…

Very Interesting thanks so much, yes it appears some of my shots are there. Another interting fact l sometime look for images via google (i do not copy or imprint) but l find some images by other artists from redbubble and you can copy and download without paying. l personally contact the artist and make them aware of this breech.

Yes there are tattoos…when I click my cherry painting it goes to images of cherry tattoos…also they are using my image to advertise framing services…it is an RB frame, not theirs…I am so tired of this, and I suspect it will get much worse…I am spending the time on this that I should be painting…damnation…

Same here, Janis, it’s the loss of time that is most damaging. So far I’ve not found my work on these last couple of sites Joe found. There are so many like this.

I only found my avatar and image profile stolen from another web site; but if they did this (whoever they are), they probably have access to my portfolio as well. I feel for all of us; this is a true violation of our copyrights and our freedom to post and publish as artists.

As RB members, perhaps we should demand from RB site designers and RB management to install and institute security mseasures similar to what is done by credit card companies and other major corporations. Additionally, measure should be implemented to secure traffic and monitor illegal trafficking of images. Am I asking too much?

Impossible to prevent someone from taking a low resolution copy. If i can see it, I can copy it. The answer is in stronger laws and better enforcement of them. Changes to allow artists to recover damages without a major lawsuit in federal court.
