    Thanks so much, Ursula!! ... lol, I had completely forgotten how dusty pastels are – it was good fun and nice sound effects, too, as I was working on the ‘wrong’ paper and they kept squeaking :-)))

    Amazing texture! This is really amazing. Looks like colored pencil. I’ve never really worked with pastel pencils, maybe I’ll give them a shot. I like this!

    Thank you! Yes, I can recommend trying pastels for comic relief (see above) but they’re not quite as smooth and blendy as ‘good’ pencils. I assume I should work on different paper and perhaps even pre-treat it, but it was worth a try and I’m happy with it :-))

    I LOVE This!!!! It still has your touch, but with beautiful soft color. Keep up with the pastels, and you get to walk around town with pastel all over your clothes and face like me :))

    Thank you!!!! I need to practise lots, to get them as creamy as yours … hahaha, yes, the hair’s a bit of a giveaway … is it the canson paper that makes them smoother?

    No…Well some people seem to get it smooth on Canson, but all of mine look like it has a chain link fence under it. You can use the back of Canson paper and then it is smooth, but you don’t have much tooth so you can’t layer. That is the real trick with pastels…lots and lots of layers. Sanded paper works best….I like Colorfix, Wallis, and Sennelier….all way too expensive though. I have been thinking about going to the hardware store and trying out actual Sand paper…haha.

    thanks! Perhaps I should just get oil pastels next time!!! I miss the blending of my pencils a bit. But this texture is quite exciting, too. I’ll see, hahahaha, 3 more to go and I’ll know.
