Medusa’s not a monster – she went poisonous through others’ doing. I assume that spitting venom is her self-protection, but I’m not really convinced that she’s happy about it.

    I need some better quality paper though, the copier sheets bleed something terrible … but at least I don’t have to cut all of that!!! ;-)

    There is a special bleedproof paper that the Manga artists use. It is supposed to be wonderful fpr pen and marker work. I think you can find it on the ‘Copic Art Marker’ site. You can also find it at: www.jerrysartarama.com.

    Originally a beautiful young woman whose crowning glory was her magnificent long hair. Medusa was desired and courted by many suitors. Yet before she could be betrothed to a husband, Poseidon found her worshipping in the temple of Athena and ravished her. Athena was outraged at her sacred temple being violated, and punished Medusa by turning her beautiful tresses into snakes and giving her the destructive power to turn anyone who looked directly at her into stone.

    I think I almost like this one the best, maybe because I am a sucker for the Oroborus…such a strong symbol of the goddess energies. Also the way she is holding her body as she knows it is beautiful and a precious gift.
