Completed in 1895, this is Frank Lloyd Wright’s first independent commission in Oak Park, Illinois after Wright left the architectural offices of Adler and Sullivan.

On December 23, 1922, a fire destroyed the third and fourth floors, and Wright returned to Oak Park to rebuild the house.

Long an avid admirer of artistic beauty, I have only recently embarked on the process of creating art. It is a passion, indeed, and one that provides nourishment for the soul.

Thank you very much for the visit, and I hope you enjoy the final product as much as I have enjoyed the creative process.

I really love the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Architechure. If you ever get up here to WI. check out Spring Green, WI. He has the “House On The Rock” you might be interested in. This is a very nice capture.

  • Thank you very much! I have heard so much about the House on the Rock, so I think a visit is in order.
