The street lights glow, sans one missing lamp, on a foggy morning in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

About Brian Gaynor

Long an avid admirer of artistic beauty, I have only recently embarked on the process of creating art. It is a passion, indeed, and one that provides nourishment for the soul.

Thank you very much for the visit, and I hope you enjoy the final product as much as I have enjoyed the creative process.

Me too; the image just seeps with atmosphere; and your nice title sets it off. I saw this as a favourite from one of my watchlists, so I have come back to have a good look and I see you are from Chicago – I have had a long fascination with that town. I love the writers (Saul Bellow, Stuart Dybek, Studs Terkle,…) and the old architecture (much now gone). I’m actually expecting delivery of a book of photos (Barrio: photographs from Chicago’s Pilsen and Little Village by Paul D’Amato) any day now. I would love to visit your town; it has held my imagination for many years. Cheers (sorry for cross posting back to my own page)

  • Thanks so much for the nice comments, visit of my work, and the multiple favorites. Chicago is a great town with a robust history, wonderful architecture, great neighborhoods, fine food, beautiful lakefront, and all around friendly people. I hope you are able to make it for a visit one of these days!

what a fascinating image, -so much mood here! the vertical elements combined with the lights shining thru the fog make this so cinematic…

  • Thank you for the very descriptive comment!
