Crack in Everything
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in
- Leonard Cohen
The cradle rocks above an abyss and common sense tells us that our existence is but a brief crack of light between two eternities
- Vladimir Nabokov
This image appears noticeably different if you look at it on a slight angle (tilt screen away) – light intensity dims and you will see the cracks more clearly. A quirk of digital art.

You just need a man around the house with a pair of overalls and eyes for detail and a good steady hand for repair work is also a plus. They do say that necessity is the mother of invention.See now you have a reason to find a husband. ( Or if you have one you may need to simply train him.) Cheers Steve.

For some reason, Redbubble does not offer me the option of print/canvas for this image. Maybe they think it is too abstract

I wasn’t sure about this image initially but then I started to tilt my screen and enjoyed the interactive aspect of it. I don’t see this as being cracks in everything we try to do though. I see an illustration that sets to remind us how important it is to expose parts of our inner self in order to let the light in, let the love in.
bfrida replied
That’s right, there has to be space for light or love to come in
BertaDrost
Great light …
