Adversity by

While out walking yesterday I met a young woman asking for money. I have met many people asking for money on the street and there isn’t one I haven’t felt sorry for, but she was different. She looked so cold, exhausted, embarrassed, small, and sad. My heart broke for her. I couldn’t help imagining what it would be like to be her and the resulting thoughts were sickening. I wanted to create something in honour of her struggle, and ended up with this. The world is so full of pain, and we are so accustomed to turning a blind eye. It is my hope to learn to always stop and look with compassion.

Wow mate, this is really hard hitting, especially when coupled with your words. What an incredible way to portray this story and experience. I can feel it.

God bless this young woman. May we all reach out and help those less fortunate than ourselves.
