Coloured Pencil. I’ve discovered Faber Castel’s Polychromos line and decided to try them with this piece. I must say they are are quite good! Rather smooth and the colours are quite rich and vibrant which is always a plus for me :)

She is the old, creepy woman, living alone in an old house, somewhat secluded from the rest of the village. It is said that she sleeps during the day and comes out at night. As evening approaches, she sheds her skin and hides it, becoming a glowing ball of fire. She spends the night roaming the cane fields, farms and lonely streets, searching for her next victim.

It is believed that this creature was the product of French families bringing the vampire tradition to Trinidad. Apparently, these vampires mingled with the African slaves and the soucouyant was created.
