The day was almost done as I wandered along the rocky shore at Valentine on Lake Macquarie in NSW Australia. The water gently lapped the shore as the sun began to settle on the mountains in the distance casting this shaft of golden light across the bay enveloping the many yachts moored in the safety of this bay. A few seagulls heralded their last song of the day and a lone pelican glided along the shore in search of tonight’s meal. What more could I ask for … I only had one request and that was to capture the mood of this close of day! I believe I did in this image … and I hope you feel what I felt that day too when you gaze at this wondrous scene … my gift to you – enjoy!
