Standing tall and proud – just one of the many varieties of huge trees in Mt Wilson NSW Australia. This one graces The Avenue and waits patiently for Mother Nature to decide when its leaves should turn to gold and eventually fall to the ground. There is already a deep carpet of colour beneath many of the trees and it brings back childhood memories as I walk through them listening for the swishing sound as they crunch underneath.
Mt Wilson is located just off the Bell’s Line of Road in the Blue Mountains region of NSW Australia. A winding narrow sealed road takes you initially through straggly gum trees then climbs steadily up the zig zag lined with magnificent tree ferns finally reaching the summit that leads you through the tree lined avenue and hidden gardens that is Mt Wilson. Pretty all year round but especially beautiful in autumn and spring when many gardens throw their gates open for the visitors to enjoy.
