I love these old lace curtains and the mood they create especially when you know they are in the old historic and very haunted Monte Christo Homestead in Junee NSW Australia. In front of this window was a quaint but very worn chair, with the seat very sunken with wear. Unfortunately this is not visible in this shot however when processing this one I did try to lighten the shadowed area only to find what appeared to be the shadow of someone in the chair. I chose to return it to darkness and leave whoever it was in peace.
This was taken during the Junee Redbubble Rumble there in early March 2012. The owners kindly opened the house to about 18 of us all equipped with tripods, monopods, cameras, flashlights and enthusiasm. The ghosts hid in corners while we roamed the two storey house, gardens and out houses madly capturing images from all angles possible.
Taken with the Nikon D700, Nikon 28-300 mm lens, hand held at 36 mm, F5.6, 1/640 sec, ISO 2500. Post processed and converted to B&W in Corel Paintshop Pro x 3.
