This image was taken from the church grounds looking across Church Lane in beautiful Mt Wilson NSW Australia. It was Spring when I took this one so the flowers were all in bud, the new leaves were appearing on a carpet of the remnants of autumn colour. The mix of seasons combined made for a beautiful scene with the wet and foggy day creating the even light needed to enhance the detail and colours.
St George’s Church is well worth a look at if you visit Mt Wilson. Built in 1915 as a memorial to Henry Marcus Clark by his family. More information on the church history can be found at http://www.mtwilson.com.au/things-to-do/st-geor...
Mt Wilson is easily accessed by car off the Bell’s Line of Road in the Blue Mountain region of NSW Australia.
Taken with the Nikon D700, Nikon 28-300 mm lens, hand held with an umbrella tucked neatly balanced under my arm.
