Today I specifically set out to try to capture this image or something similar … to say I took a few shots would be an understatement but it was fun experimenting and thank you to the Blacksmith who was only too happy to allow our Red Bubble Rumble group to do just that … experiment and adjust our settings. I have a few other ‘maybes’ but felt this was the better.
Today was the Christmas get together for the Redbubble Rumble group and a group of about 23+ gathered at the Australiana Village at Wilberforce (just near Windsor) in NSW Australia. The village is incredible, made up of old buildings dating back to early settlement and shipped to this site for us to enjoy and wonder at how life was back in those time. Only recently the village was used to film the “Wild Boys” TV series and it was great to recognise many of the buildings as those in many scenes.
The Australiana Village comes highly recommended from all of us who attended today … its a great family day out, educational and affordable.
For those wanting to experiment with this type of scene, it is dark so notch up your ISO and lower your F settings. This was taken with the Nikon D700, 28-300 mm lens at 52mm. I shot it on Aperture Priority at 1/50 sec, F4.5, ISO 3200 and hand held (there is limited room for a tripod).
