The weekend we spent in Mt Wilson recently was a wonderful opportunity to wander the many roads and lanes and discover the often hidden beauties around the area. This image though is what greets the visitor as they first emerge from the ferny entrance to discover this avenue of gold. The early morning rain and fog helped create this beautiful even light that so enhanced the colours.

Mt Wilson is a short drive off the Bell’s Line of Road in the Blue Mountains of NSW Australia … a highly recommended spot to visit if travelling this road.

Please visit Mt Wilson and explore the history and the photo galleries there.

I love the challenge of capturing what I see, admire and love. To share it with you is an added bonus. Photography to me is recording history. Please explore my galleries and enjoy?

It is beautiful up there… Luv the mood that you’ve captured with the light fog…

  • Thank you Sharon … it was very wet (as you can see by the puddle), nice and early to avoid the tourists and perfect even light?

I love Autumn Bev, especially when the trees still have lots of leaves but there is also the carpet on the ground, just like in this shot. A fav Mate.

  • Thanks Al … the carpet of leaves always seems to complete the picture … so pleased you liked it?
