The beautiful colonial gardens of Yengo in Mt Wilson NSW Australia are well worth a visit. Originally built by Jesse Gregson (1837-1919) who arrived in Sydney Cove in 1856, the gardens were established in 1877-1880 and designed under the supervision of Charles Moore, Director of the Sydney Botanical Gardens. Today’s gardens have many themed areas and are well known for the beautiful sculptures tastefully placed throughout. Much of Yengo has been set aside as a wildlife park for endangered species.
