Yengo Garden Window - Mt Wilson NSW Australia by Bev Woodman

Yengo Garden Window - Mt Wilson NSW Australia by

The beautiful colonial gardens of Yengo in Mt Wilson NSW Australia are well worth a visit. Originally built by Jesse Gregson (1837-1919) who arrived in Sydney Cove in 1856, the gardens were established in 1877-1880 and designed under the supervision of Charles Moore, Director of the Sydney Botanical Gardens. Today’s gardens have many themed areas and are well known for the beautiful sculptures tastefully placed throughout. Much of Yengo has been set aside as a wildlife park for endangered species.

    Hey Bev..very nice work..cheers.

  • Thanks Warren for the comment and favourite. Mt Wilson is a magic spot with so much to offer the photographer … there is even a waterfall there and a canyon walk … now does that add some more interest to a visit there♥

Wonderful image. I don’t know why but it made me think of Alice Through the Looking Glass. I guess because I want to wander out into that garden. Really well done. =D

  • Hi and thank you for stopping by to comment on this one … the garden had so many themed areas that would inspire a story similar to Alice in Wonderland … this is just one view from one garden looking into the other♥
