OK you’ve all inspired me to get out there and crawl along the ground, peeping into the faces of these delightful flowers in an attempt to capture the beauty that is hidden deep down inside the many flowers that Spring has sprung. This is just a simple minute daisy but on closer observation I can see just how brilliant Mother Nature has been in constructing this delight.

Taken with the Nikon D80, Nikon AF-S Micro 60 mm lens – sorry I wiped my setting however it was set on Manual at about 1/200, focal 60 mm and about F6.3 (going on similar images taken) – oh and hand held (tried fiddling with tripods and monopods but they just get in the way).

I love the challenge of capturing what I see, admire and love. To share it with you is an added bonus. Photography to me is recording history. Please explore my galleries and enjoy?

A nice daisy capture Bev. They are very photogenic flowers!

  • Thank you Michael … I pull these out often as they grow from seed – its only when you take an image such as this that you realise they are beautiful?

Pffft who needs the ‘pods’ … superb detail Bev!

  • Thanks Rosalie … I found for something this low to the ground and tiny that the tripod and monopod just got in the way … so I was pleased it turned out so crisp?

Nice shot Bev & very clear & detailed for a hand held photo.

  • Thanks Michael … everyone else has been putting up their flower macros so I’ve been crawling around doing the same thing … this one was begging to be noticed?

    Lovely flower and pic bev.

  • Thanks Sharon … you’re to blame (LOL) for me getting hooked on macro again … I’ve been having fun in the garden … I’ve got my eye on my neighbour’s native garden so might go knock on the door?

Lol, I’ve been trying to get some bugs mow. The darn bull ant wouldn’t stay still so I got my 12 year old to stick a pin it so i could get the pic, lol.

  • They recommend you catch the critter and pop him in the freezer for about 15 seconds … its supposed to cool them down and keep them quiet without harming them. Not sure I would play around with a bull ant though … he might latch on … ouch!?
