Last night was too hot to stay home so … you guessed it, we decided to crawl under another bridge. This time we chose the Fennel Bay Bridge on the road to Toronto in NSW Australia. I remember as a child travelling this road and all the bridges were old timber, single laned bridges that required you to stop and give way before proceeding … naturally there were long delays in crossing this bridge plus the Boolaroo/Teralba Bridge. Today the road bypasses the latter one and the road now has a different course that requires three concrete bridges … and naturally the traffic now flies along this road with little thought to yester year. I found the late afternoon sun provided wonderful natural light to the pylons on this end of the bridge and despite my distaste for graffiti, I thought it added an interesting backdrop to this image. I found this bridge fascinating and will be back to try some other shots in different light real soon.
