Sunset Canvas - Redhead Beach NSW Australia by

625 views as of 4TH April 2011

This is another one from Redhead Beach in NSW Australia but this time I have been experimenting with the beautiful sunset colours in Photoshop using Motion Blur in Filters. Thank you to Peter Hill for inspiring and encouraging me to ‘give it a go’. Peter never minds sharing his talents publicly with other photographers and his journal on Blur can be found *"HERE*":http://www.redbubble.com/people/peterh111/journ...

Sometimes an image may have flaws or not be quite in focus but still have wonderful colours and by playing around with Blur you may end up with a wonderful and colourful image … give it a go.

All comments welcome on this one especially♥

Ha I just did the same thing with one of my south coast images last night!!! Gorgeous soft painterly result Bev

  • Thanks Rosalie for commenting … I’ve been waiting for the right image to play with since reading Peter’s journal and I have a few from last week’s sunset shoot that seem to fit the criteria. I was pleased with this one … it didn’t seem quite right to put up as it was originally and the blur (69%) just softened the detail and enhanced the colours. Thanks again to Peter for passing this on♥

Wow, I envy you, lol. what a gorgeous shot and place Bev.

  • Hi Sharon and thank you for such a wonderful comment. We were actually there again today but further up the beach, only accessible by 4WD. We found the most magnificent freshwater lagoon and had a great day with the grandkids there!
