Redhead Beach is located in the City of Lake Macquarie between Dudley and Belmont NSW Australia. The northern end of the beach is blocked by a huge bluff or cliff but to the south the beach runs clear through to the Swansea Channel at Blacksmiths Beach. The beach here at Redhead is reasonably protected and is a popular family and surfing beach with a large rock outcrop in the middle. On top of that large rock is a timber look out tower used in past years by the lifesaver on duty. Today it is heritage listed and stands as a signature of what Redhead Beach has meant to so many families for so many years.
