Another balmy August afternoon (15/8/09) what better way to recuperate from surgery but to go and sit on the beach. I thoroughly recommend it as good therapy and R&R.
As I sat and watched the waves build, curl and roll, I saw this young surfer with his surfboard tucked under his arm, gingerly walk over the rocks near the canoe pool on Newcastle Beach in NSW Australia, stand for awhile to assess the scene and then with great care, launched himself into the waves that were building just off this rock ledge. With grace and speed he was soon out the back and riding high.
