This beautiful Art Deco Facade of Newcastle Baths has recently undergone restoration and has now been returned to its former glory.

I love the challenge of capturing what I see, admire and love. To share it with you is an added bonus. Photography to me is recording history. Please explore my galleries and enjoy♥
lovely capture Bev well done
Thanks kaz – the council has been restoring the old baths facade – I must go back and get a shot of the main entrance – it should be finished by now.

Oh stunning!!! Brilliant capture and amazing subject Bev. Wow it looks like they’ve restored the old building beautifully now! YAY!I think it’s great how there’s a new appreciation of and desired to preserve our history and old buildings, comparatively speaking. In the UK or anywhere in Europe these would be nothing…not old at all in the grand scheme of their long history.
But back to youyr latest work, I adore the colours, particularly the crimson andg rey
Thanks Jan for your always wonderful descriptive comment. They have been having a lot of frustration with the restoration work as the graffiti vandals get in there at night and scribble all over the new work – time to put the caretaker back into the building I think.
very nicely captured Bev.
Thanks Paul – always appreciated.
Its lovely to see it all restored – its such a popular place. Thanks Deb
Beautiful, gorgeous colours and composition Bev!!
Hi Kathy for the lovely comment – soooo appreciated.
Love the Deco lines, beautifully captured with that vivid blue sky, Bev. Is Newcastle the new Miami? ; )
Thanks Helen for the comment. We do have a fair bit of art deco in Newcastle but nothing along the lines of Miami but I’m so pleased they have restored this one.
Great colour and composition Bev. You have a nice collection of images from the ocean baths.
Nice shot bev. Had a look inside?
Thanks John – I frequent this spot a lot, have done since a child. Its one of those places that keeps drawing you back. Its a favourite spot for photographers as there is so much variety from this point.
