Just a simple shot of the local cows grazing on the reserve area alongside the Paterson River at Paterson NSW Australia.
Paterson is a small country town settled amidst mountains on the Paterson River which has its source in Barrington Tops to the north. The main road and trainline twist through this village which is located 175 km north of Sydney and 18 km north of Maitland.
The green of the paddock indicates the plentiful rain that the area has enjoyed of late however the debri along the river also indicates the height the river rose to during the wet weather. The old house confirms us of the changing times of even this sleepy, historical town and how many have moved on. It also reminds us of those who settled these towns, often travelling by river or horseback to areas remote and wild.
