A more apt title may have been “Is that you looking at me” or “I hope that’s not a cannon in your hands”.
Phil took this shot with the Nikon D70S using the Sigma 50-500 mm lens. We were passing the RAAF base at Williamtown when we stopped to watch the take off and landings of these beasts of the air. This particular plane was performing “touch and go” manoevres and each time it came into land the guy in the back seat was looking our way.
Cool shot Bev. I was next to them as they taxied in at the end of the run. Couldn,t get any pics because the RAAF base has a strict no photo policy.
Thanks Pete – Phil took a heap of these shots and each time they came in the fellow in the back seat was looking at us I guess trying to work out if Phil had a bazooka or a huge camera lens pointed at him
Excellent shot Bev. Our eldest son was based at Williamtown for a few years during the 80’s and we were over there a few times. We did exactly the same as you – stood and watched them doing touch and goes! Peter
Thanks for your comments – we can never resist stopping despite living all our lives not too far from them – the sound and sight of them is always over powering.

I agree – and from our point of view it is right on the doorstep for our favourite Nelson Bay!! Peter
Cool shot Phil.
Thanks Woody – I just can’t resist a shot and the telephoto is excellent for this work
