Early Morning Wandering - Dunedoo NSW Australia by

There is nothing else that makes you feel great than cracking the ice of the car as you head out to find some early morning foggy scenery in Australian country towns. On this occasion we were attending the Art Unlimited Exhibition at Dunedoo in the central west of NSW, and stayed in the “full of character” Royal Hotel there – now no longer a pub but a B&B and country cafe. We basically had the town to ourselves at this time of day as no one else was mad enough to up and exploring other than the two Phils – Phil Woodman and Philip Johnson. We found this spot on the other side of the railway line on the Mendooran Road … and I believe the sign post said “all weather road”. A few cattle put their heads up from feeding to greet us or maybe to say you are mad. This image is typical of the dry grasses in the area that in their own way are quite beautiful and well worthy of capturing. I love this type of country.

I love the challenge of capturing what I see, admire and love. To share it with you is an added bonus. Photography to me is recording history. Please explore my galleries and enjoy?

Ah my old stomping ground! Beautiful countryside, but always dry out that way. Love the mist!

  • Thanks Rosalie … there wasn’t a lot of fog that morning but we chased it along this low lying area on the other side of the rail line and it paid off. It is really dry everywhere but somehow it looked so beautiful with all the golden grasses waving in the breeze – missed you as we had hoped you could have shown us some hidden treasures – next year! ?
