Rolling Clouds near Uniondale, South Africa by

We were driving up from the Garden Route to Graaff Reinet, via Uniondale when I turned around and saw this amazing cloud formation following us across the mountains, appearing like a Tsunami so of course out came the camera. Although there were three of us in the car I was the only photographer. This is a sight that will forever stay in my mind.

Uniondale is a small town in the Little Karoo in the Western Cape Province, South Africa. The town was formed in 1856 by the joining of two towns, Hopedale and Lyons. Its primary claim to fame is the ghost story of the Uniondale hitcher. Wikipedia

Photography & travel are my passions. I’m a member of the Australian Photographic Society and have competed and also judged at many National Photographic Exhibitions and was also invited to judge at an International Photographic competition in Swansea, Wales in 2006. My choice of camera is Olympus; currently I have an E410 and E520 with several lenses. I keep a Canon Ixus in the side pocket of my handbag for those times when something worth photographing unexpectedly pops up.
