I was born in Melbourne, Australia but these days live in Drouin, Gippsland, about 100 km from Melbourne. The bushfires of February 7, 2009 came far too close to us; the first time that Drouin has ever been in danger from fires, to my knowledge.

I am a member of The Australian Photographic Society, receiving my ‘Licentiate APS’ Honours in Coffs Harbour in 2002 followed by ‘Associate APS” in Adelaide in 2004.

I was invited to judge at the Welsh International Photographic Exhibition in Swansea, Wales in 2006 then later was awarded the Honour “Artiste FIAP’ with Federation Internationale Del’Art Photographique (Europe). I have judged at numerous National Photographic competitions over the past decade.

Travel has always been an important part of my life, having had three trips to the USA, the UK twice, Europe once, and Asia on numerous occasions, the last trip being to Rajasthan, India in 2007. I have also travelled extensively on the African Continent. I did visit Papua New Guinea a number of years ago but sadly that was way before my passion for photography took over my life.

Olympus has always been my choice of camera with my favourites being my Ti4 (film) and my Olympus E410 digital with several lenses from macro to 600mm.
I am a member of two camera clubs in my area, Pakenham and Warragul and I regularly compete in National and International competitions.
Originally I would have called myself a landscape photographer but in recent times I photograph just about anything.
Some of my work can be seen hanging on the dining room walls of the Drouin Family Hotel
