Autumn Becomes Me by

This is a mixed media piece using watercolor, photography and Adobe Photoshop.

This woman knows that Autumn is coming but does not resist the Season. For her, it signifies a birthing of who she is. Never content to be stagnant, she flows with the changes externally and within herself as well. She does not fear the future of Winter, but instead fills all her senses with the colorful palette that Fall presents.

Choosing to stay in the minute is how she sustains herself. She remains somewhat ghostly in appearance, preferring to quietly watch the approaching season. Yet, she also merges with Autumn, letting leaves float in her hair. In this way, she stays connected to the World around her.

To be separate is to be isolated from her soul. She knows that and, in reflection, listens to the leaves rustle.

One with Autumn, she smiles and welcomes the transformation.

    Hi Lynn,
Thanks for the sweet comment. That makes me feel good, what you said. Sometimes I think just connecting to others through our art is so wonderful. I find putting words to images and vice versa is really helping me more thoroughly access my creative self leaving me more and more energized. I suppose Art Becomes Me is my theme now…….

Thank you, Therese. I appreciate your comments. It was fun to alter it digitally, the face became ghostly which was what I was after. I am amazed by the digital world, your work is a prime example of the beauty that can be produced using these tools. Happy Creating!
