Watercolour on 140 lb. arches cold press.
This is a farm located at the base of a section of the Niagara Escarpment near Guelph, Ontario, Canada. After painting the scene using mainly warm colours, I mixed a dark and using a pipette ( like a tiny turkey baster) added the line work. It was great fun, and gave the painting a little more drama and definition. I certainly plan on using the pipette more frequently in the future.
Painting is such an integral part of my personality and my life. I find much joy and satisfaction in the process, and if the results are pleasing then I am also gratified, but I must admit it is the process that intrigues me and sparks my creative juices.
I paint primarily in watercolour but love to experiment with other media, especially in combination with my watercolour. I would be honoured if you were inclined to take the time to browse through my work.

Never heard of a pipette, but I sure do like the results of its use in this painting….very dramatic! Love it.
Where did you find the pipette & is it easy to control the flow of paint from it?
I bought the pipette at an art supply store, but some drug stores carry them for administering liquid medicine. The control depends on the size of the hole, and these can vary slightly. I am sure you have better access to this kind of thing than we in Canada, Marsha. If you can’t find them, I can send you one or more.
