Watercolour on 140 lb Arches cold press.
This is another commissioned painting showing children playing in the autumn leaves very close to my client’s home, which also happens to be close to ours. These two delightful boys are also his grandchildren. Painting the leaves and forest setting was indeed a challenge and I must admit I needed to mull it over for a long time before actually putting brush and paint to paper.
Original – SOLD

Painting is such an integral part of my personality and my life. I find much joy and satisfaction in the process, and if the results are pleasing then I am also gratified, but I must admit it is the process that intrigues me and sparks my creative juices.
I paint primarily in watercolour but love to experiment with other media, especially in combination with my watercolour. I would be honoured if you were inclined to take the time to browse through my work.

Such a gorgeous painting Bev. Reminded me of when my two ‘boys’ (who are now great big men) played in the garden of a friend where there were autumn leaves. You brought back a very happy memory for me with this painting!!!! We don’t get as many autumn leaves as you do, as eucalypts don’t lose their leaves. I really miss the European trees of my childhood!!! Wonderful play of blue/orange complementaries here too. You are a wonderful artist.

  • Thank you, Lynda, for your very thoughtful comment. I truly appreciate your thoughts and your support.
