Border Collies- Max and Tucker by

Soft pastel on gray/blue colourfix paper. This is a commissioned piece for my neighbour who is hoping to present it to her brother on his 50th birthday. Of course they are his own two dogs, Max, who passed away at age 14, and Tucker, who was rescued from an animal shelter. I worked from photos that were given to me, so unfortunately I did not ever meet these fellas. I certainly hope I was able to capture their personalities as well as their appearance. My husband is going to do the framing for her since he knows how to handle pastel paintings and what is required. I hope she will be happy with the result.
A big thank you goes to Lynda Robinson for her advice and kindness. Original-Sold

Painting is such an integral part of my personality and my life. I find much joy and satisfaction in the process, and if the results are pleasing then I am also gratified, but I must admit it is the process that intrigues me and sparks my creative juices.
I paint primarily in watercolour but love to experiment with other media, especially in combination with my watercolour. I would be honoured if you were inclined to take the time to browse through my work.

AND HERE IT IS!!!! WOW – It is a MASTERPIECE Bev! The choice of blue was perfect too! The colours in the fur show up so well. Really lovely. I think the recipient will be more than delighted!

  • Linda you are too kind. I did enjoy painting them, however. They had run out of white colourfix paper, so that’s why I went with the blue. I used the charcoal as you suggested and am very glad I did. Thanks again for everything.
