Watercolour on 140 lb. Arches cold press paper. I thought this was an appropriate floral to post at this time of year, as we are in the season of Lent and Easter is fast approaching. It is a spring flower that, in some areas, is blooming fully and in others, is just poking through the soil. This was painted using mainly the negative painting method, with very little positive painting other than the laying of the initial colours and the centres of the flowers.
