Watercolour (Winsor & Newton) on 140 lb Arches cold press.

This was our first stop on our Alaska cruise in August. We discovered the hard way that this delightful town receives 200 inches of rain per year, most of it on the day we were there.

Painting is such an integral part of my personality and my life. I find much joy and satisfaction in the process, and if the results are pleasing then I am also gratified, but I must admit it is the process that intrigues me and sparks my creative juices.
I paint primarily in watercolour but love to experiment with other media, especially in combination with my watercolour. I would be honoured if you were inclined to take the time to browse through my work.

Bev this is a great watercolour. Alaska would be very cold.

  • Thanks so much, Gloria. The average temperature for us was 60 F or 15 C. The week before we were there it was in the 80’s!

I’m happy for you that you got to go on a cruise to Alaska – That’s something my husband and I would love to do. Great job on the painting – I like the misty/ rainy effect, even though I’m sure you weren’t thrilled with the rain.

  • Thanks so much Lora. I hope you and your husband do take the cruise. The scenery is stunning.
