Watercolour (Winsor & Newton) on 140 lb. Arches Cold Press paper.

This is a view of a friend’s cottage which is located on Garden Island near Kingston, Ontario. It is such a delightful spot and seems worlds away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the city even though it is only minutes away by boat. An oasis to be sure. Original-Sold

Painting is such an integral part of my personality and my life. I find much joy and satisfaction in the process, and if the results are pleasing then I am also gratified, but I must admit it is the process that intrigues me and sparks my creative juices.
I paint primarily in watercolour but love to experiment with other media, especially in combination with my watercolour. I would be honoured if you were inclined to take the time to browse through my work.

Bev, this is so gorgeous. I absolutely love your work. Would I ever love to live somewhere like this. It looks so secluded and quiet. Great place to paint! Garden Island…..sounds like somewhere out of a book! How have you been Bev?

  • Thank you again, Kate for your wonderful words. I love hearing from you. Things have been better these last two weeks.
My friend, who spends the summer here, is a writer, and this setting really is conducive to getting her thoughts down on paper.

I think of an English country garden looking at this Bev. This is nice and quiet and peaceful.

  • You are so right, Gloria. It is a wonderful place to find peace and serenity.
