Impressions of Masham, North Yorkshire by

Soft pastel on colourfix sanded paper.
We visited the village of Masham on Market day. We had a wonderful pub lunch and I bought the best cheese ever. This row of buildings bordered the central square and really appealed to me in their solidity comforting conformity. Of course, I used artistic license with the rendering of the colours.

pastel, masham, north yorkshire

Painting is such an integral part of my personality and my life. I find much joy and satisfaction in the process, and if the results are pleasing then I am also gratified, but I must admit it is the process that intrigues me and sparks my creative juices.
I paint primarily in watercolour but love to experiment with other media, especially in combination with my watercolour. I would be honoured if you were inclined to take the time to browse through my work.

Wonderful work, Bev – my grandmother lived in a row of houses like this, only in Stafford – they have been pulled down for years now

  • Thanks again for your comment, Shulie. I don’t think I have been to Stafford, but I will look it up on the map.
