Pink Magnolia

Watercolour on 140 lb. Arches Cold Press.

This started with poured paint, and then when dry I formed the petals mainly using negative painting. In early spring our neighbourhood is aglow with these gorgeous flowers, which as you know do not last very long and end up as happy memories on the lawns below.

    Oh, I love this flower….they are so beautiful when in bloom. .You have made them even more beautiful. Your techniques are quite creative to say the least. Each successive work is a real inspiration. I hope to get nervy enough to try my hand at something like this.
