Haiku 2/07/09 / homage to Migaloo
Migaloo swims north
Old white whale will breed again
White baby maybe…….
here in OZ we have a white whale it has been named Migaloo, hes about 30 years old and he was spotted yesterday by whale watches swimming among the black ones on their journey to the north to breed……i watched it on the telly and it was an amazing sight to see, i just hope the Japanese dont see him ……..so my haiku is dedicated to all of these amazing mammals who enrich our lives by just being there,,, can u imagine something so huge just eats plankton …….
Migaloo means “white fella” in the native aboriginal…….

Oh, how lovely, Bev! Thank you for sharing it. I love whales and can watch them for hours if I had the opportunity. This whale sounds amazing so I am going to have to look him up on the web. -D
