Out Walking The Love

hesitant to glance upon her photograph
she peeks, and what a surprise we’ve found
better things to do than flicker my bedroom lights
in child-like eyes and body structure
to me, it’s of a small taste, how vehicles pass us by..
and how distracting music can be
in the burning, they’d heard a crackle
under trances and spells
twisted to spirits, constructed from familiar molds
following hunger
in a way that some envision forms of dark clouds
with no better place to be than.. pressing rewind
this island from here, catching various cases of shading techniques
selectively collecting, lost and found grasshopper numbers
picked from our templed monuments
and if we’re really quiet.. i bet we can almost hear the cat’s meow
where sometimes, the private work is the rawest-cut kind
shuffling.. up and over mounds
loosely tied and off track
finely tuned to open ears and cherished breath
the latest of midnights
and accommodating the longer sides of twenty minutes
now, that’s an alright laugh and dosen’t make for a terrible evening
how kind of one to notice.. you’re illustrated amazingly
still alive in the shaken snow globe
rambling in pattern, until where on earth could it have went
i’m sorry and almost away, in fact..
this must be my ride pulling up now
