Uncropped, this is a rental home in Wayne, PA where a great lady gardener used to live and rent out rooms. I took the photo in late spring of 2010. By fall, all the roses, vines, and other foliage had been stripped off and away, and basic repairs had been made. Sigh.

This view is just as it came out of my Pentax digital camera with minimal color adjustment.

131 views as of May 31, 2011. It is full spring but that wall is bare now.

Here it is printed on canvas.

Eye-filling paintings and photos excite me. Mine are inspired by the interplay of color, especially when it creates a cheerful and thoughtful impression. I am a photographer/writer/artist and love both nature and tech stuff. I also publish garden books — see my website. Thanks for looking at my work. Great capture. The windows need a little help though. LOL

  • What I like is the blue towel used as a curtain. And those roses are incredible.

    Beautiful capture, Betty!

  • Thanks so much! It really is a capture — I pass this building often and now it has totally changed and the roses are gone.
