Come Over for Some Cookies by Betty Mackey

Come on over sometime! These butter cookies I made are ready to go into the oven. I was going to take another picture after they baked but some friends came and we ate them. I took this in ordinary kitchen lighting with a handheld Canon Powershot camera. The handmade rolling pin is from a local Indian grocery store. It’s cute as a card or print.

Eye-filling paintings and photos excite me. Mine are inspired by the interplay of color, especially when it creates a cheerful and thoughtful impression. I am a photographer/writer/artist and love both nature and tech stuff. I also publish garden books — see my website. Thanks for looking at my work. Yes, yum!! Another shot when they’re baked? :^))) I really like the ‘kitcheny’ ambience about this shot…memories of my childhood!

  • Alas, a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips, as they say. I didn’t get the other shot!
