Pink rhododendron, a star of spring. I don’t know the cultivar name but it was in the garden of Robert Stamper, a rhody collector.

Eye-filling paintings and photos excite me. Mine are inspired by the interplay of color, especially when it creates a cheerful and thoughtful impression. I am a photographer/writer/artist and love both nature and tech stuff. I also publish garden books — see my website. Thanks for looking at my work. How beautiful – I remember rhododendrons in England, but I don’t think they would grow here

  • Thank you. Yes, most of them like to have a winter season. However there are several types of tropical rhododendrons.

darn, darn, they will all soon be gone to falls colors, then browns then ugh whites

  • Hi! When it’s brown or white outside we have to create our own color inside. Otherwise what use is it being an artist?!
