Angel’s Trumpet (Datura meteloides) is large and lovely, but toxic. Pretty poison!

Eye-filling paintings and photos excite me. Mine are inspired by the interplay of color, especially when it creates a cheerful and thoughtful impression. I am a photographer/writer/artist and love both nature and tech stuff. I also publish garden books — see my website. Thanks for looking at my work. Thanks, Joyce. This type of Datura holds the flowers upright.

I love this . I call this plant Nightshade or it looks to be. I painted one in acrylic. Will post so you can look and tell me if it’s the same plant.

I know these bloom at night, don’t they? This is really a pretty picture.

  • These open in the afternoon and bloom through the night until morning. The scent attracts a moth that pollinates the flowers. Thanks, Nancy!
