At the end of June 2010 my dearest friend Elena Malec, uploaded a poem she wrote in 1997, which touched my spirit profoundly.
I read it, and immediately visualized a painting based on the deep message of it.
Shortly after, Elena honored me with the request of doing a painting based on her poem.
I felt very flattered and immeasurable happy. I knew that the idea of how I will do this is already in my mind.
Now, I felt the time was here to finalize this project and I created this painting for Elena!
Please take minute to read my source of inspiration:
Vademecum – a survival kit
by Elena Malec
I would hold my eyes between my teeth
like a killer his knife
while he is tying up his victim.
In this way I can walk
among the fittest;
and no one would know
I am but a Schöne Seele,
and no one would tell me:
Who would bother with a cubist
This is my first painting of 2011…:)
Acrylic and Water Color on Canvas, 12/16in
