Artist's Description

Spring time arrives along the North Fork Burnt River with green meadows and blue skies contrasting brightly against the dark timberline of King Mountain.

This year in 2013 Oregon’s Senate Bill 401 is an attempt to wrongly label this as “wild and scenic” nor is it habitat for salmon and steelhead. The boulder strewn river gorge is where the North Fork Burnt River empties into Unity Lake Reservoir. The riverbed dries up to rocks and mud during the summer time and is inaccessible for fish as well as river recreation. A real poor and thinly disguised attempt by the state to control private lands and outlaw federally authorized mining in Oregon.

Know your state of Oregon and don’t let others tell you otherwise!!

Photographed near Hereford in eastern Oregon.
