Early Morning Walk with Man's Best Friend(s) by

Camera in hand, I’ve been out in the woods for early morning walks most days of late. Watching the sun rise and then heading into the forest and watching the gentle rays filtering through the trees … magic … :) Sometimes I encounter joggers, or cyclists, or as was the case this morning – folk taking their best friends for walks ;)
Witnessing those early morning moments is what’s given me balance for the longer than normal hours I’ve been working in the square mile of the city … contrast, that’s for sure :)
So I thought I’d share one or two shots and then saw that there are currently 55 free days on calendars here in the Bubble … – I think an Epping Forest Calendar might have to be created tonight! :)

  • Thanks Mindy :) Indeed, it is stunning out there!! the forest is one of the reasons I moved out this way … and I’m ever so grateful for – I spend many, many hours out there :)

    Magnificent capture. Don.

  • :)) Thank you so much Don !!!
thank you also for the lovely comment on the untitled shot … chuckles that wasn’t meant to even appear in the stream … I’m trying to collate images for an Epping calender but didn’t want to flood the stream / feed with stacks of uploads … *chuckles … I appreciate you very kind words though :)

typical Square Miler.. trying to get a year into a night ;) You caught them creating a delightful composition under the trees

  • well, if there are 55 free days up for grabs, then sure, I’ll try squeeze a tyear into a night … time’s just an illusion anyway, so the whole matter is of little consequence ;)
Glad you like this one Richard … I realised as a came past that he was a touch weary of me standing htere with my camera, but I’d already been there before he came over the rise, so he seemed uncertain of whether he’s in my shots or not … chuckles … I was glad for the way teh scene unfolded really :) … also liked the red, black & white of the subjects … :) …

Really wonderful capture Bettina, the man & dogs really add something here – love the height of the trees and framing they create :)))

  • the height of the trees make the chap & his dogs look tiny in comparison, doesn’t it … … that knotted branch arching over the top was simply irresistable ;) …
Thank you for your lovely comments Trish – much appreciated indeed!! :))

Wonderful capture.!…the light.!… the might of nature towering over man and his dogs…!…great composition and framing… and the splashes of contrasting colours of the subjects completes a
    totally pleasing image……Well done indeed…!!!
