  • BettinaSchwarz replied

hi Trish :) thank you :) ... also for me it was the lady with the little girl who made it :)

Beautiful shot, rythmed by the wooden posts lines…

  • BettinaSchwarz replied

    Thank you Helene !
yeah, those wooden posts had me eying out the coastline from all sorts of angles … :) ... I felt this to be a pleasing comp in distances :)

Great shot Bettina, it looks wonderful in b&w!

  • BettinaSchwarz replied

thanks a ton Shaun … seems to me that some shots simply ask for B&W treatment … this one made the suggestion and so I tried … and as far as I was concerned it worked better than the colour version :))
    Glad you like it :)

Great use of recurring lines lovely shot

  • BettinaSchwarz replied

they had me fascinated, Tina – I’ve never actually seen a beach divided down like this to stop the erosion of the coastline …

Nicely composed Tina . . those breakwaters do look good, were you tempted onto them ?? i think i would have been, even at the risk of wet feet lol.

  • BettinaSchwarz replied

hmmmm Dave, by that stage, no. I’d been walking along a beach in howling winds, then by sunshine, then by rain … the weather was incredibly changeable on Sunday!! ... by this stage I was content to walk atop a pier and watch the world doing it’s thing :)
... I certainly want to go back though and explore that coastline with it’s it’s crazy weather and moods :) One day was simply enough to make me curious and want more, that’s all :))

love the way the other couple seem to be calling the closer pair on in this, stunning capture Tina, guess you will be borrowing that lens for your return trip lol ;)

  • BettinaSchwarz replied

hmmmm not sure whether I’ll get another opportunity to borrow that lens … it appears that we might have re-wet the lady’s appetite for photography :))
thanks for your kind comment re the shot :)
