The painting is magical and beautifully painted. I had some problems translated the poem so that it made any sense. Some about 3 owls making love and the doctors sick? Help me on this one please.
Bravo “3 owls making love and the doctors sick?” oh yes but … “3 owls, on the commode, making love with the doctor’daughter. The doctor felt ill …. ambarabà cicì cocò (it is a non sense)”
Thanks Elisabetta for the correct translation, I understand about it being a silly children’s rythme. Before I return again to Italy I had best brush up on my Italian. LOL
